Lappr: Your Swim. A Little Less Counting.
Lappr is an iPhone app that counts your swimming laps for you. Set your iPhone at the end of your lane and swim. Lappr uses the camera to watch for your return to the wall, keeps the time, and tracks your distance, so you can find your rhythm and stay in it.
Lappr is available in the App Store! Learn more at lappr.app.

Meet your poolside companion
1. Set up. Position your iPhone safely by the pool, frame your lane, and set the pool length in yards or meters.
2. Settle in. Tap Ready for a five-second countdown, then swim. See your timer, laps, and distance at a glance, with pause and resume when you need a break.
3. Look back. Every workout has a story. Keep a history of your swims, review your lap times, and see the distance you've put behind you.
Your iPhone stays poolside. Set it upright on a small tripod at the end of your lane, with the screen and front camera facing the water. Swim out and back, and Lappr updates your laps, time, and distance. One lap is a round trip: two pool lengths.
A little setup. Nothing extra to wear.
Yes, there's a phone to position before each swim. The payoff is a whole workout in the gear you already like, with your tracking on the deck.
- Keep the goggles you love. Choose your goggles for their fit, comfort, and field of view. No smart goggles, and no display in your line of sight.
- Leave your fingers free. No smart ring required. Lappr watches for your return to the wall, with your laps and distance visible on the poolside screen.
- Give your wrist a break. Prefer to swim without a watch? Keep it that way. Your iPhone handles the timer and lap count while your wrist stays free.
Track your progress. Share your swim.
Every swim is part of a bigger story. Keep yours in Lappr, bring it into Apple Health, or share it with friends on Strava.
- Apple Health. Save your swims to Apple Health, including workout time, distance, pool length, and lap splits. You choose which workouts to send.
- Strava. Send completed swims to Strava and keep your pool sessions alongside the rest of your training.
- Your progress. Look back through your workout history, review your lap times and distances, and follow your progress from one swim to the next.
